2006-2003: PRESIDENT - THE CARR P. COLLINS COMPANY. Subsidiaries included Tenacious Construction, Tenacious Motor Sports and Tenacious Body Works. Collins profitably sold all companies in 2006. He now pursues his passions - Zero Quitters Image Consulting as well as various mixed
martial arts
business ventures.
2003-2001: PRESIDENT - GRASSO INDUSTRIES. Grasso Industries was a Dallas based construction company specializing in loft conversions in the downtown area. Internal companies managed: Grasso Flooring, Grasso Paint and Drywall and Grasso Plumbing. Collins resigned in 2003 to form his own company.
2001-1998: STUDENT - SMU SCHOOL OF LAW. Studies emphasized trial skills and criminal law. Collins was elected 1L and 2L class representative before graduating in 2001. Collins was then recruited into the Dallas business community.
1996-1989: LIEUTENANT (O-3) - U.S. NAVY. Naval Special Operations Officer successfully leading teams through arduous missions to include: diving, dolphin systems, marine salvage; underwater demolitions, explosive ordnance disposal, underwater mine hunting and hydrographic reconnaissance. Expert in managing team morale, maintaining mission focus and goal attainment. Experienced in international relations, government diplomacy and VIP protocol.
HIGHLIGHTS OF NAVAL CAREER:
- Selected to lead U.S. Secret Service technical support teams in response to assassination threats on Prime Minister Bhutto of Pakistan, and later, President Bill Clinton.
- Led the MK6 dolphin system on three deployments countering North Korean threats to U.S. interests.
- Served as operations officer in the recovery of a CH-46 helicopter from an ocean depth of 17,251 feet, setting the Guinness Record for the deepest salvage ever completed.
- Led the first West coast team in extreme cold weather operations to include: full logistics planning, material acquisition and execution. Directed survival, navigation, diving; demolition and helicopter cast and recovery in weather 100 degrees below zero.
- Appointed in 1993 to fill a commander billet as operations officer at Combat Support Squadron Five. Directly responsible for mission assignments, logistics, vessel tracking; communications and briefs to Commanding Officer Middle Pacific.
- Selected to stand honors officer of the deck on USS Arizona during the Presidential visit 1993.
- Developed and implemented the Navy's MK6 dolphin capability in detecting enemy SEAL delivery vehicles.
